A fun event from the comfort of your own home to raise funds that support long-term solutions to end homelessness in Regina and provide warm winter clothing for those in need.
Our main sponsor is unable to meet their commitment in supplying a portion of the yarn for this event. This came as a last-minute surprise to us and we are unable to find another sponsor in time to run the event.
If you would like to make toques, mittens, and scarves outside of this event we will still gladly accept donations and distribute them to community organizations in need.
Support single mothers and their children in Regina through the development of Lilium Village. Get a tax receipt and some prizes for yourself. Give toques, mitts, and scarves to those in need.
It’s a win-win-win!
Compassion. Creativity. Competition.
A competition for knitters and crocheters to win some prizes and give to a great cause! Teams and individuals will commit to one month of making toques that will be donated to inner-city schools and shelters.
This year we will have prizes for the top:
The registration donation gets you a tax receipt, multiple patterns, 4 starter balls of yarn, and a discount card for purchasing more yarn throughout January!
All levels of knitters and crocheters are welcome here! We will include 4 toque patterns in your registration package: circular knit, flat knit, circular crochet, and flat crochet; 2 mitten patterns; and leaving the scarf pattern up to you with an approximate length of 60″.
You are welcome to sign up as an individual or as a team of up to 4 people. We recommend finding some friends to knit with… physically distanced, of course!
Registration runs December 1st, 2021 – December 31st, 2021.
