We are seeking a Caseworker/Housing Coordinator to walk alongside residents. This role combines case management, housing coordination and relational ministry in a community-oriented setting that champions empowerment and true reconciliation. The successful candidate will align personally and professionally with MayBell’s mission, vision, and values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Intake, Admission & Relational Support
- Oversee the intake process, including eligibility screening, interviews, and assessments, in accordance with MayBell policy and in partnership with the Executive Director.
- Communicate clearly with applicants regarding status, next steps, and available community supports.
- Conduct intake assessments to identify strengths, goals, and needs within the family and community context.
- Develop individualized case plans that foster stability, personal growth, and family wellness.
- Build authentic, supportive relationships grounded in Christ-like compassion and relational accountability.
Program Delivery, Administration & Housing Coordination
- Coordinate move-in and move-out procedures in accordance with tenancy policy and legislation, in partnership with the Executive Director.
- Support rent collection, subsidy administration, and tenancy documentation.
- Track housing capacity, manage the waitlist, and maintain supporting information to inform necessary reporting.
- Support the facilitation or co-facilitation of small group programs designed to strengthen community and personal development among residents, in partnership with the Executive Director and Program Facilitator(s)/volunteers.
Advocacy and Systems Navigation
- Maintain awareness of community systems impacting residents (financial assistance, addictions, mental health, justice, etc.).
- Advocate on behalf of residents with community agencies or service providers when appropriate.
- Provide information and assistance to help residents navigate external resources and support.
- Collaboration & Community Partnerships.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner agencies, faith communities, and service providers.
- Participate in inter-agency meetings and case conferences to strengthen collaboration and outcomes for families.
Transition & Follow-Up Support
- Initiate transition planning with residents prior to program completion.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure continuity of care post-transition.
- Conduct move-out documentation and final follow-up supports.
- Maintain post-transition contact, as appropriate, to foster ‘alumni’ engagement and continued encouragement.
Professional Conduct
- Participate in regular coaching and debriefing with Executive Director.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Engage in professional development in areas such as biblical reconciliation, trauma-informed practice, cultural awareness, and poverty reduction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Social Work, Human Justice, or a related field (a combination of education and experience may be considered).
- Strong organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Office, client management, etc.).

- Knowledge of domestic violence, addictions, mental health, trauma, and crisis intervention.
- Sensitivity to cultural and socio-economic diversity.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries alongside relational integrity in a faith-based context.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
